Now players from all over the CIS cannot buy games in the PlayStation Store

Not so long ago, the administration of the PlayStation Store digital store banned all residents of the Russian Federation and Belarus from buying new games due to sanctions imposed by the West and Europe. However, it turned out that not only Russians, but also citizens of other CIS republics also fell under the distribution and now they cannot spend money in the store, even if they live in another state.

The problem lies in the fact that during registration, residents of Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and a number of other countries could not choose their region. Instead, they could only define Russia as their place of residence, and because of this, despite their real geolocation, their accounts lost the ability to make purchases on the PlayStation Store.

At the same time, it is clarified that accounts indicating another region (for example, Britain) work normally, even if their owners live in the Russian Federation.
