A Plague Tale is getting a movie adaptation

Asobo, together with Merlin Productions and Focus Entertainment, will develop a series based on the A Plague Tale game dilogy. Initially, the owners of the rights planned to sell them to the West, but then it was decided to create the show through the efforts of French authors.

The series will be directed by Mathieu Turi, who supported Quentin Tarantino in the creation of Inglourious Basterds. The plot tells about the adventures of a brother and sister who are forced to survive in the era of medieval France, fighting both with representatives of the local Inquisition and against hordes of rats that flooded Paris.

No release date for the series has yet been announced.
