James Gunn and Suda 51 'know nothing' about Lollipop Chainsaw remake

Apparently, no one turned to them for help.
James Gunn and Suda 51 'know nothing' about Lollipop Chainsaw remake

We recently informed you that Lollipop Chainsaw will soon receive an official remake. The original game is an atmospheric and colorful zombie action game filled with witty dialogue co-written with James Gunn while he was working on Scooby-Doo (pre-Marvel era).

Unfortunately, Gunn himself denied any hope that he would return for the remake to dilute it with fresh dialogue.

Neither I nor Suda 51 are currently involved in the project. A couple of weeks ago, I first heard about him from Suda.

Then he added:

I do not approve or condemn this! I just don't know anything about it. But as our names start appearing in articles, I think it needs to be stressed that no one has ever contacted us about this.

Suda, who co-wrote Lollipop Chainsaw with Gunn and oversaw the game as creative director, also personally confirmed that neither of them is involved in the development of the remake.

I'll put in my two cents: as James Gunn says, neither he nor I are involved in this project, and Grasshopper Manufacture has nothing to do with development or anything.
