Rian Johnson is already working on a third Knives Out movie

In an interview with Variety, Rian Johnson stated that work is already underway on the third part of the detective Knives Out. The director wants to change the style of the story and the theme of the picture.

We make these films primarily as entertainment. What was exciting about making The Glass Bulb was the idea of emulating Christie with a whole new story. Now I'm starting work on the third film. I'm very inspired that I don't have to copy the last painting. The goal is to move in a completely new tonal and thematic direction.

The third part will premiere in 2024 on the Netflix platform.
