'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' to be made into new films

NewLine Film Studio in partnership with Warner Bros. plans to make new films based on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Especially for this, the developers signed a cooperation contract with Embracer Group, which, in turn, owns Middle-earth Enterprises.

It is not yet known what kind of films these will be, whether they will fully comply with the canon, or whether another rubbish like “Rings of Power” awaits us. So far, it is known that Peter Jackson, the famous director who directed the filming of both Tolkien trilogies, will take part in the development of future film projects.

What fans of the professor can be sure of is that there will be no remakes of the original films. The developers noted that The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit had enough other interesting stories.
