How to load a tank / How to make a shell
The tank is in the courtyard of the fortress, and you will need to shoot from it to destroy the gate leading through the mountain range to the village where Dr. Metzier is hiding. To fire a tank, you have to charge it. And for this — to find a shell.
There is a key inside the tank. Remove it and open the arsenal door in the fortress courtyard. Inside, find a workbench with a sleeve in a vice. You need to pour gunpowder into it. Above the sleeve hangs a plate with the components:
- Sulfur powder
- Crushed coal

Behind it, on the right hand, there will be a thresher. There is a coal box next to it. Throw one coal into the thresher, close the door and start turning the handle. When all three components are in place, pour them into the sleeve and go to the tank with the finished shell. Open the barrel of the gun so that an empty cartridge case falls out, and place a shell in its place.
Where to Get Saltpeter
You need to return to the quartermaster’s warehouses for saltpeter, from where you fled. The monster is still there, so be careful! After entering the warehouse through the door in the alley, go up the stairs on the left and you will see the slightly open door ahead. This is a pantry, and there is saltpeter on the rack.
How to Handle a Torch
Despite the fact that you can light any torch in the game, it will not work to pick it up. You can illuminate your path either with matches or with a lantern that requires oil.
How to Evaporate Sulfur
When you find yourself in the arsenal, move to the very end and go into the room with the grate. Behind it is a sulfuric ointment. There is a dead man in the grate on the left. There is a key in his hand. You can open the grate for them, but immediately run away, as the trap will work and the grenade will explode. To get the achievement, use the windows on the left and get behind the bars without activating the grenade. And then remove the hook from the grate so that you can open it and get out calmly. There is Sulfur Ointment on the shelf in the corner. Take it, go to the same room with coal. There is a saucepan near the far door. Throw sulfuric ointment into it and close. Then light the candle below with a match. Wait for the ointment to boil down, and then take away the sulfur powder.
How to Get to the Radio
Once in the first rooms of the fortress, you will hear the radio. And you need to get to it. The first stage is the repair of the elevator, which we described below. Further, go upstairs, look for the cracked floor. It needs to be pierced with heavy cannon. Look for cannon nearby, but note the two missing wheels. The first wheel lies nearby, and several more (but one is needed) are in the next room, behind the cannon. There are still the corpses of an officer and three soldiers. A monster will appear, but he will not touch you and will soon leave, and you can open the door. And then push the cannon forward.
How to Repair an Elevator
You need a winch to fix the elevator inside the fortress. Go right from the elevator and see a table with a crossbow. There will be a winch on it. Place it in the elevator and find the plank on the right to be placed on the floor. Now go upstairs.
