VERY IMPORTANT! There are monitors in the rooms with SHODAN CPU nodes on the Medical, Research, Service Deck, Storage Deck, Flight Deck, and Command Deck. RECORD the numbers from these monitors as they form the code needed to destroy the Citadel Reactor and progress through the story.
Your task is to prevent SHODAN from using the tachyon laser beam on the Citadel space station to attack Earth. A laser normally used to mine moons and asteroids has been repurposed by SHODAN AI to destroy Earth. The only way out is to use the shields and then fire the laser while it is blocked by those barriers.
Map of the Medical (taken from the original, but the walkthrough is based on the remake!):

Level puzzles:
After the cutscene, you will wake up on the first level of the Citadel, the space station where all the events of System Shock Remake take place. More specifically, you are on the Medical. Move down the slope to interact with the button. The nearest door will open. Take the contents of the suitcase and use the Standard access card to leave the room.
In another room, using the only melee weapon, get rid of the enemies. Pay attention to the surgical capsule (restores HP) and the charging station (restores energy). If necessary, you can always return to them to restore health and energy. There is a small hatch to the south near the charging station. Squat down and enter the reception area. Take the data carrier from the table, which contains the code for the nearest door - 451.
Before leaving the room, pay attention to the camera hanging from the ceiling. On the map, all cameras are marked with large orange circles. Destroy all cameras to reduce Shodan's presence and unlock cutscenes. Use the code found earlier to exit the room. Go ahead and open the door opposite with the Standard card. Look on the shelf for a blue Group-1 card. Exit and pull the lever in the corridor to open the passage to the north.
Clear the area and turn on the light with the green wall switch. Go through the door to the right of the column to find a weapon lying on the floor - a mini-pistol. Exit and continue down the corridor to the east to reach the Gamma Quadrant. Pull the lever to enter a new room. Kill everyone and go through the door to the south.
There will be enemies in the room. Having dealt with them, and open the door in front of the inscription "Die" to find another briefcase. Inside it is a Medical access card. Exit and head east to find a door next to the Resist sign. Use the map you just found to open the passage. Kill everyone and search the table in the center of the room for a new energy weapon. Climb up the stairs to the Alpha Quadrant.
Inside, interact with the panel on the wall to solve the puzzle. Puzzles are randomly generated. For example, here is our solution:
Then cross the bridge to get to the stairs. Climb up it and go forward until you reach the toilet. Turn left and continue through the east passage to find the switch. Click on it to make the second bridge appear.
Cross the bridge and keep going forward to reach a new room. Get rid of the enemies and unlock the Alpha Quadrant with the lever. If the SHODAN presence is too high, find and destroy additional cameras. Use the gravity lift. There will be a new bridge in front of you. Cross it to fall into a trap.
At the bottom, go into the airlock and use the switches on the wall to get into the control room. Pull the lever to activate the gravity lift (go back). Once at the top, go down the corridor, through the door to the west. There will be a camera inside. Run it, and in case of death, be reborn in it.
Follow the corridor to the east to find a door with a car symbol. Eliminate all enemies to see the force field. To destroy the force field, go left and look for a new door with a core symbol. Get inside and interact with the device against the wall to hack Shodan.
You are projected into a digital dimension. Your goal is to penetrate deep into the dimension and get to the core in order to hack it. Use pipelines to navigate Cyberspace. If you cannot move, then you need to kill enemies or destroy the core at some panel. Shoot at the most sparkling core.
Return to reality, go to where the force field used to be, and kill the enemies. Climb down to reach the CPU nodes to the east. Destroy them all. Note the number on the red monitor in the CPU node room! Climb up the corridor to find an elevator to the south - next to the resuscitation room. On this elevator you can move to the second level, to the Research Labs.
In addition, the code for the Arsenal on the Medical can be found on the data carrier. In the Alpha Quadrant, go across the bridge in the opposite direction, in the direction of the Beta Quadrant. Along the way, on the left-hand side of the dashboard, there will be Alfea Grossman's data carrier with the code from the arsenal - 705.
Map of Research Labs (taken from the original, but the walkthrough is based on the remake!):
Use it in the same way as the previous Medical Deck card. You are interested in "green numbers" - keys, red squares - CPU nodes, and an elevator. The rest are optional!
First you need to activate the only lowered lever in the large room of the Alpha Quadrant (upper right side of the map). After that, find the Science Access Card, which can be obtained by killing the cyborg behind the Admin Security door in the Beta Quadrant (that lever in the Alpha Quadrant will power the Beta Bay). Only after that it will be possible to get into the large hall of the Beta Quadrant, where there are several doors, including the one you need.
Solve the Cyber Terminal puzzle in the Beta Quadrant Lab while holding the key. The laser safety deactivation code will appear on the screen on the left. I had it 199. It will be needed a little later. Before you leave the level, take the X-22 isotope from the radioactive storage in the Gamma Quadrant.
Reactor map (taken from the original, but the walkthrough is based on the remake!):
At this level, you must find and install the X-22 Isotope in the room with the shield generator. After that, pull the lever to activate the shield generator. Use the security code you saw on the Science Labs screen after solving the CyberTerminal puzzle and enter it on the keyboard in the Reactor Core in the back room. Yes, there will be a lot of radiation here, so use the appropriate medicine. Be guided by the inscription Safety Override. Pull the lever.
Return to level 2 and head to Central Control in the central hub. Now you can start the laser (if you had done it earlier, you would have seen a bad ending).
This mission is centered around a genetically engineered virus that SHODAN plans to release into the Earth's atmosphere to control humans. The Citadel is primarily a research station working on genetically modified plants and related vaccines. However, SHODAN's control of the station has led to the release of mutated individuals that now pose a threat to your survival in the game. Your goal is to thwart SHODAN's plan by getting rid of Beta Grove (G-2), where the virus is being cultivated. Here's how it's done according to the levels:
Destroy the CPU nodes in the large room to the northeast, where there are also some opponents. Note the number on the red monitor in the CPU node room! Keep destroying cameras. Once the security level drops below 20%, go to the southeast central room, where you will also find a Gorilla Tiger (when you use the gravity lift on the right, and the left leads to the infirmary). Kill the monster and enter 838 on the keyboard to unlock the path to Warehouse #9. In this warehouse you will find Environmental Protection Pack v1. Take Plastid Z-44 from the table in the southeast corner. If you want, use the Mod-Kit station to increase the damage of the Magnum 2100.
In warehouse #1, you can find even more plastid. To get to it, take the elevator up and destroy Guard Bot 1. Jump to the north side to the door. Behind it, look for shelves with plastids, ammunition. There is also a lever that will open Warehouse #4, although there are optional items (supplies) inside it.
Warehouse #4 is located in the central part of the map, closer to the east. Clean it up if you want. You can now use the main elevator and go to the Flight Deck.
In Warehouse #5, jump onto the crates by the west wall and you'll see a panel in the south corner. Use it, and a niche with a gravity lift will open below. Another, blue pad prevents you from going to it. There is a gravity lift in the far corner. Get up and press the button. Use the lower pad, move south from them (there are two blue pad on the ceiling, and they will pull you in) and activate 2 green panels (once). Rise again on the far pad in the corner, go to the button that you activated earlier. You will be pulled up. Click on the two green buttons.
Go back down and use the pad from the ceiling as before to the two consoles. It will take you even higher. Click on the green top tier button. Go down, repeat the steps, but this time go up to the upper tier by the western wall. Click on the button. A door will open at the bottom of the bridge. Log in and click on the button. Go back up with the gravity lift that turned yellow (on the ceiling) and activate the last button. The lower pad will turn yellow and you will be able to enter the alcove with the blue pad. Here you will find the new weapon KF-18 Skorpion.
Jump down and go west. Open the hangar door, take the elevator to the right. Move to a dead end to the left and around the corner you will find four levers. From left to right, they should be arranged like this: up, up, up, down. This is important and will come in handy in the future!
Head south, follow southeast past the shields until you reach a door marked GRAY (blood on the floor and walls). Continue down this corridor, jump onto the blue pad surrounded by the yellow ones. There is a new passage to the south, fly there. Do the same with the other pad, but this time you need to fly west.
Solve three puzzles with red squares that need to be connected and then defeat the boss. Throw an EMP to temporarily stun him and use your most powerful weapon. For example, magnum.
There is an elevator switch to the southwest. Press this button and take the elevator outside the south door of the room where the boss was. At the top you will find a MARK III assault rifle. The Mod-Kit upgrades the EM-38 grenade launcher if you have one.
From the large southwest room, go through the north door and take the gravity lift up. If the door is blocked, just interact with the wall on the left. Go out to the hangar and clear it of birds. Jump on the platforms against the left wall to find the Turbo Motion Boots v2. These will allow you to temporarily fly in the air.
To the east of these platforms there are corridors with radioactive barrels. Among them, at the top of the stairs, look for the only Shodan CPU node on this deck. Destroy it. Note the number on the red monitor in the CPU node room!
There is an elevator in the northeast, in the red corridors. Use it to climb up to the Executive Deck.
Go to the Delta Quadrant and look for the Cyber Terminal. Complete his walkthrough to unlock Edward Diego's vault and the path to Beta Grove. Also, visit the room from the screenshot below to unlock the Beta Grove:
There is a capsule in the Delta Quadrant to the southeast that leads to the Alpha Grove. Go there, follow the long eastern red bridge. When you cross the bridge, head south. Destroy Guard Bot 1 and disable the blockages. You need to enter Safety Interlocks and reset the Alpha Grove using the wall panel. Then return to the leadership deck.
From the octagon-shaped central room, go north to the Delta Quadrant (press the green square button in the east to get to the Delta Grove). Go to this location and click on the button to make the blue pad:
Climb up, open the door, then flip the switch to reveal a bridge. Walk through it. Take the east elevator down (the bridge switch is broken). Go north (past a chessboard with red and green holographic pieces), turn north and go through the next door. It will open at a certain level of protection, that is, you need to destroy the cameras. Press the green square button in front of the LIVE FEED screen.
Now go to the southwest capsule where you came from and return to the guidance deck. Go to this location (screenshot below) and use the admin access card to access the new section of the guide deck:
Kill the robots and go through the Beta Grove door. There is a pod in the Beta Quadrant to the southeast. Use it to get to Beta Grove.
Try to get through this area as quickly as possible, as it is under strong radiation (requires a protective pack from the Vault, which we wrote about earlier). Press TAB and make sure to turn on the satchel in one of the four slots on the left. You will probably need first aid kits and batteries.
Run east, then south, pressing the switch so that red bridges appear on top. Then press the elevator switch in the west corner (kill the mutant plant near it). Run along the bridges, turn west. Use first aid kits as needed. Move through the door to the west, you can run past most of the enemies until you get to the LIVE FEED room. Press the button after killing the Gorilla Tiger.
Go through the north door, go north, turn south and find a door on the side leading to a red bridge and a Safety Interlocks sign. Inside the room, press the switch to turn the bottom gravity lift yellow. Jump down and disable the Beta Grove lock. Go back the way you came and ride back to the guidance deck.
Approach the elevator in the center of the map and write down the code shown on the screen, second from the left (there are four in total). Run to the very southeast corner of the map, along the long corridor with the beta grove door. In the back room with billiard tables, enter the code on the panel by the door in the corner. In my case, the code was 711, but one of the following may suit you - 232, 692, 137.
Go west through a few hatches, go down the stairs and fight the Servobots to the south. Enter the southeast room to find a Mod-Kit Station for weapon upgrades and a mod. Return to the previous room where you fought the bots, go down to the lower level using the yellow gravity lift. Press the switch in the center of the room, kill the enemies and destroy all SHODAN CPU nodes. Note the number on the red monitor in the CPU node room!
Use the pad and enter the western doorway. Head forward into the only unlocked room to fight Cyber Diego. Activate the shield in advance, apply Berserk and so on. Soon it will simply disappear. Go through the west door.
Look south and interact with Master Control. Provided you have reset Alpha, Beta and Delta Groves (Gamma Grove is reset by default), you will be able to interact with this panel. And you will receive a message about a breakdown, the record of which is recommended to be read on the Service Deck. Otherwise, it won't. It means that you did not reset some grove. Re-ride the pods to Alpha, Beta, and Delta Groves. Check to see if you've made it to the Safety Interlocks rooms and done a manual reset.
Use the elevator and return to the Service Deck. An elevator near the Master Control wall panel leads to the Engineering Deck. Now you don't need to go there. On the right there is a portal that will take you to a secret room with the right elevator. Remember the wall you need to interact with in order to return to this portal.
In the southeast (go to the left of the elevator you originally came here in) there is a diagnostic machine. right on the wall. Interact with her to create an audio log:
It will direct you to the relay analyzer. In addition, Maintenance Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta are unlocked. For now, you don't need them. As for the Maintenance Office, this door will unlock when you lower the deck defense to 45% or lower. This is an important door as there will be a CyberTerminal behind it. After passing it, you will open the door opposite and you can destroy the SHODAN CPU nodes (and write down the number for the future code from the red monitor).
Head to the relay analyzer in the northwest and enter the three-digit code from the audio log (mine was 428). You need to find a demodulator interface. To the left of the analyzer there is a hatch. Climb through it until you get to the Delta door. There is a corpse on the floor and you can pick up Abe Green's head.
Go northeast. Find the pad, go up (to the side of the Beta door) and pick up one demodulator interface. You don't need others! In addition, there are various improvements here.
Visit the Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma regions. There will be panels of 5 green interface demodulators on the walls. One of these panels will give an error (ERROR) and one of the demodulators will be inactive. Replace it. Be sure to destroy the cameras to lower the deck defense by up to 45%.
When this happens and the defense is down, head back southeast to the Maintenance Office, open the door, open the next door with Abe Green's head (it should just be in your inventory) and go through Cyberspace. Upon completion, you will open a room with CPU nodes. Defeat the Servobots and hit the switch on the north wall. Destroy both turrets and all three CPU nodes. Note the number on the red monitor in the CPU node room!
Return to the control deck (via the north central elevator) and activate the Master Control again (to the southeast through the ventilation and the place where you fought Diego the Cyborg. Interact with the Master Controls to start resetting all the groves. Go back to the control room of the Beta Grove (You don't need to ride the capsule, enter the room a little further - southwest of the current position, west of the Beta Grove capsule itself. Interact with Beta Jettison to complete the reset and destroy the virus.
If you haven't got Z-44 plastids yet, go to the warehouse and make sure you have 4 plastids!!! There is an elevator to the west of Master Controls. Use it to get to the Engineering Deck.
Head to the east admin room where the cyberspace is located. The path is not close. Pass it in such a way as to destroy all four cores and open the north, south, west and east antennas. Find the CPU nodes near the CyberTerminal. Destroy them to significantly reduce the level of security. There is no red monitor with the code for the reactor on the engineering deck!
Explore the four areas of Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma Antennas. Plant explosives on each one. You should have 4 Z-44 Plastiques from the Vault. Read the description of this chapter above. Shodan will not contact you ("Antennas Mean Nothing"). Shortly thereafter, Rebecca Lansing will contact you and direct you to Willard Ritchie. You can find his audio log in the aforementioned East Administrator Room where the Cyber Terminal was. The audio recording says that the code from destroying the reactor consists of the numbers that you saw on the monitors when you visited the Med Deck, Science Deck, Service Deck, Storage Deck, Flight Deck, Command Deck in the CPU node rooms. You will have to visit them all (the screenshots below show a map with the location of the CPU nodes). I got the code 968435. Maybe it will suit you!
Use the elevator in the Delta Quadrant to return to the Guidance Deck. Go to the elevator in the center of the Delta Quadrant and move to the Service Deck. From there, use the central freight elevator and drive to the Reactor. Kill the enemies and enter the Reactor Core. Go on top, killing Security Robots 2. Find the lever at the end. Pull to unlock the pad in the center of the reactor. Make sure to activate the radiation protection (protective pack).
Get on the pad to fly up to the input panel and enter the code. I repeat, we got it 968435, but yours may be different. Visit the rooms from the screenshots above and write down the numbers from the red monitors! Turn around and pull the lever to start the self-destruct process.
Return to the Flight Deck (use the central south elevator and move to the Service Deck; from there use the northwest elevator). Head to the east of the Flight Deck, go down to the hangars. Between them there is a door from which Cyborg Diego will come out. Defeat him, go downstairs and press 001 on the code panel on the left. Enter the escape pod and try to evacuate. flight bay and go down to the lower level. Look for the Life Pods side room (east) from which Cyber Diego will pop out. A few shots from the Railgun will do the trick (otherwise use something with high penetration) after which it will disappear.
Return to Engineering Deck and listen to Rebecca. Go to the elevator in the southwest, kill the enemy and ride the elevator to the Security Deck.
First, go down to the main hall and kill the enemies. Take the gravity lift to the north. In one of the rooms (first on the right), press the wall button to disable the barrier to another grav lift. In another room on the second floor, look for a corpse with a Group-B card.
Ride higher, to the very top, and find a room with a case. Inside will be an audio log and a Security Deck access card. Climb even higher and destroy the four CPU nodes. Once you've done that, you can return to the second floor and retrieve the weapons from the Experiments room. There is also another room on the top floor. After opening it, go through the Cyberfield. You will open the detention cells.
Go down and up on the gravity lift to the south (you need the left one of the two). There is a niche with a button on the wall on the right. By clicking on it, you will launch all Security Robots 2 in this room. Prepare in advance and eliminate them. After that, you can open another door in the corner. Use the next gravity lift and go higher. Listen to Morris Brockail's message. Go forward past the three doors on your right. This path will lead to a small room with a lever. Drag to create a red bridge.
You can go down to the first floor and go to the western wall. Activate the protective pack, take any gravity lift and cross the red bridge. Climb up the long fire escape in the room with increased radiation. Cross the other red bridge and take out Diego the Cyborg. This will be your last meeting. Search his corpse and take the Personal-5 access card. Use it to get into the elevator and move to the Bridge.
There are several places to visit on the bridge. Go northeast and look for a lever on the wall. By lowering it, you turn off the radiation in the central chamber. Go straight east. Find a room with lots of red panels in the floor. There is a button on the wall to the left. Click and jump down at the place where the red barrier disappeared. There is a purple marker on the left side of this underground area. He points to a puzzle. Solve it to open Energy Door 2.
Follow the south, along the narrow corridors, find another puzzle and solve it. You will open Energy Door 3. Kamikazes will appear on the way back!
Go northeast to find another puzzle. Solve the puzzle and open the Energy Door 1.
Move south in the center to find a room with a Brainstealer. Defeat him and get an Insulated Chip. After taking the chip, go to the lower left corner of the map (southwest) to get into the room with the central column. On one of its sides there is an image of SHODAN. Apply a chip to it. In the eastern part, the only inaccessible door will open (marked with a purple marker). Go through it and kill the enemies. Climb up and pull the lever. Eliminate the enemies, go back in the opposite direction, but along the red bridge near the left wall. Lower the second lever on the left. Kill another group and find the third lever under the computer with the first one. When you clear the room for the last time, a gravity lift will appear next to the first lever. Climb on it, eliminate the Brainstealer and use the card on his corpse to open the passage to the last Cyberterminal.
In Cyberpole, fly forward until you see a huge AI. There are three towers around it. Move between them on colored platforms. Get on the platforms opposite the AI to make the gates appear. Shoot the AI that looks like a worm with tentacles on top. In general, three spiked balls - viruses - should appear that will destroy SHODAN. As soon as it appeared.
