A remake of the first-person quest originally released in 1999, which was the debut of Belgian game designer Benoit Sokal, is a story called The Explorer's Legacy. In this quest, a young journalist travels to Amerzon, a mysterious country in Latin America. The main task of the protagonist is to fulfill the last wish of an explorer who visited these lands many years ago, in order to correct a mistake that he regretted all his life. The gameplay of Amerzone is similar to the games from the Myst series. In the remake, the developers significantly improved the graphics, modernized the puzzles and added new elements to deepen the game experience.
