Bastien in Jagged Alliance 3

Your decision regarding Bastien will have certain consequences. Below we will talk about all the solutions and what they lead to.

Kill or release Bastien

Bastien is a fairly important character in the world of Jagged Alliance 3, being the leader of a small gang associated with the Legion, the main antagonists of the game. You will meet him twice, and during the first meeting you will be able to choose one of three options:

• Kill : This will lower the defense of the fort, you will earn 150 experience points and 10 Ernie's loyalty .
• Do Not Kill : You will be able to interact with Bastien in the future and learn more about the Legion .
• Nice to Chat : Requires High Wisdom and if successful, you will receive 3 Diamonds .

The first encounter with Bastien will take place in Sector I1 on the beach, and if you didn't kill him, you can encounter him again in Sector H3, in the camp near the outskirts of the map. So, when the second meeting happens, you will be able to:

• Pay : Bastien threatens you and demands $100. If you give this amount, you will get 150 experience points .
• Threaten : Instead, you can threaten Bastien in response, taking all his weapons and loot .
• Deceive : Fox (medic) is needed for this choice, and if successful, you will turn Bastien's friends against him .
• Kill : You will kill Bastien, earning 150 experience points and 15 Ernie's loyalty .

If you leave Bastien alive, you can later convince him to ship the goods to the Refugee Camp . Definitely not worth killing the character!
