The stolen throne in Dragon's Dogma 2

Conversation with Captain Brant: At the Shooting Star Tavern in Vernworth, talk to Captain Brant and choose the topic of the fake Risen One. He will tell you about the masquerade in the Noble Quarter.

Preparing for the masquerade:

• Receive the special "Evening Mask" mask from Brant.
• For the appropriate outfit, complete the Decorated Box side quest or find the outfit at the masquerade venue during the day.
• Keep in mind that the masquerade only takes place at night, so use a bed in the tavern or wait on a bench until dark.

Party Directions: Wearing your mask and appropriate attire, head to Wernworth Hall in the Royal Quarter.

Following an impostor:

• Watch the cutscene where the fake Risen One leaves the hall.
• Go to the corridor where the Risen One went and start exploring the rooms.

Secret passage and revelation:

• Look for an inconspicuous wall between the storage rooms, where there is a secret passage.
• Go through the passage to avoid detection by the guards.

Completing the quest:

• Meet Lady Wilhelmina, who will reveal the truth about the false Risen One and provide evidence.
• Return to the Shooting Star Tavern and report everything to Brant.
• Receive a reward for completing the quest.

Additional tips:

• Explore the area behind the secret passage to find useful items.
• If you do Walder's side quest, find his glasses on the shelf to the left of the chest in the second open room down the hall.
