In the game Honkai: Star Rail Balance Chorus: The Great Septimius is Dominic, one of the incarnations of Shippus, and a weekly boss who becomes your opponent in the story mission and in Echo of War mode. After defeating him, you gain lost echoes of the unity of desire needed to upgrade certain characters.
In this guide, we'll look at where to find this enemy and which commands are best for battling him. You'll also learn about its basic attacks and the most effective combat tactics.
For the first time you will meet this boss in the Mastering mission called “Beauty and the Beast”, which is part of the new quest chain. As part of this mission, you will have to fight a weakened version of the enemy, which makes the fight less challenging. This fight is partially described during the quest.
After completing the mission, the “Echoes of War: A Tribute to the Courtesy of Mortal Dreams” mode becomes available, which allows you to fight Dominic again at any time. His location is the grounds of the Grand Theater of Penaconia, located on the Celebration Planet.
On one of six difficulty levels, you can battle Dominic and his characteristics will change accordingly. The picture below shows his parameters at the maximum 82nd level (note that these are the characteristics of the normal version of the enemy, not the weakened one), as well as the attribute progression.
According to enemy vulnerabilities, he is susceptible to electric, fire, and imaginary attacks. At the same time, he has a medium (20%) degree of resistance to wind, physical, ice, and quantum damage types. Additional details can be explored in the image below.

It should be noted that Great Septimius has a 40% resistance to effects. This means that if your character has a skill with a 100% chance of hitting an effect, it will only be inflicted on Great Septimius with a 60% chance. He also has full control resistance, so using skills such as Conclusion or Freeze will not be effective.
In addition, consider that this boss will regularly summon Echoes of Old Dreams in the first and second phases of battle. These common enemies are vulnerable to fire, electric, and imaginary damage types. It is important to note that the damage dealt to them will enhance the Balance Chorus. You can learn more about their attributes in the image below.
Recommended Teams
Given the characteristics of Great Septimius and Echoes of Old Dreams, we recommend forming a squad of fire, electric and/or imaginary attackers. Preferably, they should be able to deal significant damage to multiple enemies at once, as you will constantly face a group of enemies. The faster you can pierce vulnerabilities in Echoes, the better. It is recommended to include characters such as Acheron, Himeko, Serval, Moon Eater, Kafka and/or Jing Yuan in the group, if available.
Given the significant damage the boss and his summoned creatures can deal, a good shieldmage and/or healer should be included in the squad. An excellent choice would be characters like Avanturin, Baylu, Gallagher, or Locha, who can not only protect and heal allies, but also pierce enemies' vulnerabilities. If these characters are not available, you can use any other hitters and defenders.
