Walkthrough of Nancy Drew: Treasure in the Royal Tower

For beginners, special training is provided that will help you get comfortable with the game.

You will find hints from Ned, Bess and Jess.

Nancy doesn't use a mobile phone. Her phone is in the room on the nightstand next to the alarm clock. The clock shows the time in the lower left corner of the screen.

The game is non-linear, but some actions must be performed according to the characters' schedule. Change the time on your alarm clock to talk to the right person.

Schedule:

  •         Jacques Brunet: 9:00 - 12:00, 14:00 - 17:00

Lisa Ostrum: 10:00 - 16:00 (in the living room)

Professor Hotchkiss: 3:00 - 6:00 (in the living room)

Dexter Egan: 7:00 - 20:00 (at the counter)

Secrets:

        Call: 462287, 2722274, 6208225

        Acquaintance. Help Egan

Write a letter to your friends and send it.

Take the key card for room 205 from the table.

Open the cabinet in the desk and take the key to locker number 310 (code 5-1-7).

Read the brochure in your suitcases.

Study the menu from the chest of drawers.

Read the Young Detective magazine on the table.

Approach the battery - Nancy will comment on a strange noise.

        Leave the room.

The castle is a labyrinth of corridors with dead ends. Follow the signs with room numbers located on the walls.

After leaving the room, turn right, then left and go down to the first floor.

Manager Egan stands behind the counter. Talk to him about the strange noise from the battery and give him the letter.

Egan will tell you that skiing will not be possible due to heavy snow. The castle is open to you, except for the library, where someone has made a real mess. Egan will also share that Professor Hotchkiss was robbed and she does not want to communicate with you. He will ask you to pick up shoes for the professor from Jacques Brunet.

Lisa Ostrum, a journalist, sits in the living room to the left of the hall. Talk to her about everything that interests her. She believes that the key to the library is in Egan's desk. Lisa will also tell you that Jacques works in the basement, the professor types all the time and speaks a foreign language. She will share that at night she hears strange sounds in the castle and dreams of getting into the tower.

Explore the first floor:

At the end of the corridor to the right of the living room, past the intersection, there is an elevator, and opposite it is the door to the library.

At the end of the corridor to the left of the living room there is a spiral staircase. Nancy doesn't want to go upstairs because it's too dark.

Go down to the basement and follow the sign. Please note Jacques's opening hours (9:00 - 12:00, 14:00 - 17:00).

Take the brush lying on the door.

Go to your locker and dial the code 5-1-7 by pressing the buttons just above the numbers. The locker doesn't open.

Talk to Jacques. If he is not there, return to your room and sleep until 14:00.

        Return to Jacques.

Next to the ski rental sign on the right there is a switch that turns the lights on/off. Turn it on.

Jacques Brunet: Approach Jacques and ask him about the boxes he makes. Ask him also why your locker won't open, and ask for boots for Professor Hotchkiss. Jacques will tell you that Dexter gave you the code to locker number 311.

Lisa's Locker: Go to locker number 311 and enter the code 5-1-7. The closet will open! This is Lisa's locker. Examine her bag and find the passports. Lisa said she doesn't understand Spanish...

Secret passage to the library: Return to the place where you switched the levers. Next to the box is a lever that turns on the elevator. Click on it and head to the elevator that is next to Jacques. Enter the elevator and look up. This is the exit to the elevator shaft. Exit and go up the stairs. At the top, on the right, there is an open hatch. Crawl through it and you'll find yourself in the library!

Meeting with Egan: as soon as you find yourself in the library, the door will begin to open. Quickly turn around and hide in the hatch. It's Mr. Egan! He looks for something and leaves.

Library Exploration: Exit the hatch and approach the place where Dexter was rummaging. Read books and pay attention to the amount of dust on the table. Take some dust with a brush.

Footprints in the Library: Examine the hole in the wall. Just to the left of the table is a portrait of Marie Antoinette. On a small table, near the stairs, where a glass has been spilled and chess pieces are lying around, read a book.

The inscription above the fireplace: go to the fireplace and read the inscription: “The cunning rabbit has three entrances to his hole.” Click on the sign and examine the strange mechanism.

Globe: Go to the big globe. Rotate the arrow 90 and click on the red activity.

Chamber of Secrets: Where have you seen such symbols? Go to the fireplace and enter them one by one (numbers from the sheet). After each number entry, press the green button. If you entered everything correctly, Ezra Wickford's secret room on the second floor will open. Go up the stairs and enter the room.

Candle and key: The room is dark. Go to the table and take the lighter. Light a candle with it. A little time will pass, the candle will melt, and you will be able to take the key.

Poem and family secret:

Read the poem on the table where Ezra writes to his son about the talisman in the garden.

        Study two books.

You will learn that Dexter Egan is the son of Ezra Wickford, disinherited for unseemly acts!

Hatch in the elevator shaft:

Return to the elevator shaft. You will hear strange sounds below.

Look through the hatch in the mine floor. The lever that lifts the grille is stuck.

Go to the radiator in your room and take the oil can.

Return to the shaft and lubricate the lever.

Go down the stairs, but the elevator is blocking the way.

Plan to infiltrate the library:

Take the elevator up and enter the library through the shaft.

Find the library key in Egan's desk drawer.

Take the brush from Jacques when he is not working.

Go into the library through the shaft, dip the brush in the dust and powder the remote control.

You will receive the code "3*72".

Library opening and signaling:

Exit through the library door and call the elevator to the first floor.

Open the library with the key and turn off the alarm.

Return to the mine and go down the hatch.

Riddle with six latches:

In front of you is a door with six latches. Open them quickly, otherwise the elevator will fall.

Remember the order of the latches, as the riddle is randomly generated.

The story of Jacques and the tower:

Go along the corridor and find Jacques, who is sawing the bars of the door to the tower.

He will tell the story of his great-great-grandfather, the cache, the diary and the locket.

Jacques will offer to look at the medallion in his locker, code 2-6-6-5.

Medallion and attack:

Go down to the basement and open Jacques's locker.

Read the letters and the book about diamonds.

When you reach for the medallion, you will get hit in the head.

        Start of investigation:

You will receive a call from Jacques, who will ask about the medallion.

Listen to a voice message from Dexter, who asks you to go down to him.

Dexter will tell you that he found you unconscious.

Ask him where the garden is.

Finding the key in the garden:

        Go to the garden.

Turn the sundial twice and the head of the Ezra Wickford statue will turn.

Click on the lever behind the statue's head and take the box.

Open it with the key from the secret room and take the red medallion.

Barn, cable car and tunnel:

In the barn, read the article about Dexter Egan.

Find instructions for running the cable car and a telescope.

Take the key from the wall next to the screwdrivers.

Go to the tunnel where Jacques stood.

Leave the elevator on the 1st floor.

Bridge puzzle:

Open the grill with the key.

Turn left and look for chains and metal plates.

Adjust the length of the chains so that the bridge rotates.

        One of the solutions: 5-5-3-2-2-1-4-4.

Staircase puzzle:

Cross the bridge and go up the stairs.

Place colored tokens on squares of the same color to create steps.

Button on the Wall: Notice the button next to the door. She removes the steps.

Golden Hall and mosaic:

In the Golden Hall there is a portrait of Marie Antoinette and a mosaic with leaves.

In the center of the hall are three coats of arms and a hole for an item.

Assemble the mosaic:

Parts with two lines – top

Parts with small dots – down

Parts with large semicircles – in the upper corners

Parts with small semicircles – in the lower corners

Take Marie Antoinette's diary from the hiding place.

Translations and coat of arms:

Jacques refuses to translate the diary because the medallion is missing.

        Lisa doesn't know languages.

Ask Egan what the symbols on the floor are - these are parts of the coat of arms.

Professor Hotchkiss:

        Knock on Hotchkiss's door.

She will ask for help exploring the castle.

Hotchkiss will ask a random question.

Find the answer in the castle (for example, a sign in the elevator, a bookcase, information about Marie Antoinette).

If you don't know the answer, ask another question.

After answering correctly, Hotchkiss will give you a piece of paper to write down your answer.

Switch the keyboard to the Russian font and press Enter.

Hotchkiss will invite you to the living room from 3 to 6 am.

The Secret of Professor Hotchkiss:

Ask Hotchkiss about the theft: She'll talk about missing a gift from a friend and working on a story about Marie Antoinette.

Read the notes: In Hotchkiss's room, find the drafts of the article and learn about the queen's preferences.

Video camera: Turn on the camera, but it will turn off due to a dead battery.

Suitcase and locket: Open the suitcase and read the letter from Hotchkiss's friend about the locket.

Retrieve the medallion: Find the blue medallion under the pillow.

Ask about the locket: Ask Hotchkiss what color the stone was on her locket.

Royal Tiara: Hotchkiss will tell you about the missing tiara.

Translate the diary: Give the diary to Hotchkiss for translation.

Voicemail: Listen to Hotchkiss's message and remember not to give her key card to anyone.

Finding the green medallion:

Ask Lisa: If you have the red medallion, Lisa will tell you about Egan carrying something green to the barn.

Barn: Check the mechanism to the right of the door. Find the rat and the green medallion.

        Cable car:

Locked Door: The front door of the castle is locked.

Barn and Cable Car: Run to the barn and launch the cable car.

Levers: Pull the right lever twice and the middle lever twice.

Rescue: Egan will come and save you.

Return to the room: Set the clock to 3 am.

Deciphering Marie Antoinette's message:

Marie Antoinette's Diary: Read the diary and learn that the queen divided her tiara into medallions.

Coded Message: Remember the symbols corresponding to the words "honor", "bravery" and "loyalty".

Videotape: Watch the videotape of Hotchkiss and find out that she used the medallion to view something in the round room.

Round Hall: Go to the round hall and look through the hole.

Medallions and Symbols: Place medallions on the hole to reveal hidden symbols and phrases on the stained glass window.

Coded Message: Return to Hotchkiss's room and look at the coded message again.

Purple Rose: Remember where you saw a purple rose? Go there.

Stash: Pick up the rose and get the key from the stash.
