Ruins of Unte — how to get there?

Once in the Shadow Haven in the north of Shadow Altus, you will be able to discover several secrets hidden by this Messmer fortress. The main one allows you to get to a secret area, from where, in turn, you can get to even more remote locations.

So, after defeating the Golden Hippopotamus (you need to enter through the main gate of the fortress), move to the wall with the burning boats. On the left there will be a drawbridge leading to another part of the fortress, to the sample storage. Messmer's red knight stands on the bridge. Walk past the bridge to the last burning boats (you will be attacked by plebeian militia) and find a barely visible staircase on your left. After going down, go under the waterfall and pick up the painting of the Fiefdom of the Dragons. Hit the empty wall on the left. The illusory wall will dissipate, and you will be able to find the coffin. Interact to find yourself at the Castle Watering Hole.

Collect Furnace Giant Faces from dead giants. One of them will come to life! There are also the ruins of Unthe here, but the way inside is blocked by an inactive furnace giant. To open access to the Ruins, you will have to revive this giant. To do this, you need to climb the wall on the left and throw a large pot from the oven at the furnace giant.

To craft this item, you will need a red-fleshed mushroom, the face of a furnace giant, Messmer's coal and a large cracked pot. You should have already found all this earlier. In addition, you need a recipe for the largest pot from the oven. You need to look for it in a dilapidated tavern (rotten hut) under the Great Bridge over Ellak. This is the same bridge that leads to Ensis Castle. You need to go down under it from the eastern part of the Tombstone Plain, where the first giant roams. Simply go to the left of the bridge, in the direction of the Abandoned Village of the Weak, activate the "Great Bridge North" grace, turn around and go under the bridge.
