Mind Grains in Black Myth: Wukong

Already in the first chapter, you will notice how strange materials called Mind Grains drop. They are of the legendary type, but you can’t find any use for them.

In fact, you need to wait until the second chapter, defeat the Stone Guardian and the Tiger Guardian, then return to the Temple of the Crouching Tiger and interact with the statue where you defeated the Tiger Guardian. Go down to the basement under the temple, activate the Cellar altar and approach the furnace to make Xu Dogu appear.

This is the NPC with whom you can exchange Mind Grains to create Heavenly Pills - the same pills that you could find in the open world when interacting with turtle-shaped boxes. They permanently increase mana, stamina, defense, health, or give resistance to one of the four elements. At any time, you can redistribute all Mind Grains for free, choosing other pills.

As for the method of obtaining them, Mind Fragments usually drop from elite or more difficult enemies. There are several ways to farm them. Find a convenient enemy close to the altar (any) that has a certain probability of dropping Mind Fragments. To increase this probability, you can equip the Golden Carp rarity. And start farming. You will be surprised how quickly you can collect countless Mind Fragments to later buy all the Heavenly Pills from Xu Dogu.

For example, I consider the Karma Tower or the Temple Entrance at the New Thunderclap Temple to be quite convenient places. In both places, there is a fighter with twin daggers near the altar. A Mind Fragment can drop from him. With the Golden Carp, it dropped for me once every 3 battles.
