The best weapon at the beginning of Stalker 2

Plus, finding a lot of ammo for the 416 early on is hard — I only found 15-20 rounds of AR416 ammo in the first 10 hours. While AKM ammo is fairly common, you'll often find it on corpses.

The AKM-74S can be found in a few places. One such variant is on Nine's body in the Lost Boys mission. The Viper-5 can be found shortly after completing the prologue. When you reach the post office and help defeat a group of raiders, you will be shown the way to Zalesye. Just on the way from there, there is a downed helicopter. Inside it is a submachine gun!

TOZ-34

• Pros: High damage, great close-range weapon
• Cons: Only two shots, slow reload
• Where to find: Can be bought from Hamster or found in the mission "The Lost Boys"; also dropped by enemies

The TOZ-34 is a double-barreled shotgun that deals huge damage, making it ideal for close-range combat in abandoned buildings, sewers, and caves in the Zone. The high damage is offset by a small number of rounds in the magazine and a long reload time, so if you find yourself in a fight with a large group of enemies, make sure you have cover to reload.

The TOZ-34 uses the same ammo as the Sawed-Off Shotgun, but we recommend it due to its slightly better range and accuracy. The vertically positioned barrels make aiming easier and make aiming simpler.

The TOZ-34 can be found shortly after completing the prologue. It can be purchased from Hamyak in the Zalesye shop or found on the body of a dead stalker in the sewers during the mission "The Lost Boys", where you also find the AKM-74S rifle.

It's a good alternative to the Viper-5 for indoor combat, so we recommend having both weapons with you.

Ammo in STALKER 2 can be found throughout the Zone. The best way to get it is to search caches. As you talk to characters and complete main and side missions, new cache locations will appear, where you can find supplies such as medicine, food, and ammo.
