How to Complete the Mice and Frogs Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, one of the early side quests involves a conflict between the people of Tachov and Zheleyev, who are fighting over territory. Both settlements are asking for help from Henry. In this article, we will look at how best to help both sides.

The Mice Quest

To start the Mice quest, travel to Tachov and find the innkeeper Prochek. He will ask you to paint Olbram of Zheleyev's bull. You have two options: either do what Prochek asks, or tell Olbram about Prochek's intentions, which will result in the failure of the Mice quest. If you choose the second option, Olbram will reward you with 11 groschen. You can also agree to Olbram's revenge against Prochek, which will trigger the Frog quest.

If you want to complete the "Mice" quest, you'll have to put in some effort. Talk to blacksmith Radovan to learn how to calm the bull. Then travel to Troskovitsa, visit the alchemy table and study the book. You'll receive the recipe for the "Lullaby Potion", which requires 1 poppy, 1 thistle and 1 raven's eye. Poppy and thistle can be found in the fields, and raven's eye can be bought from Aranka in the gypsy camp or from the apothecary in Troskovitsa.

Preparing the potion

Go to the alchemy table and follow the recipe. Pour the oil into the cauldron, add the poppy and heat it up. Then add the thistle and raven's eye, and pour the resulting potion into a flask. Repeat the process to get three flasks.

Now go to tailor Bartoshek and ask about the paint. If you fail the skill check, pay 60 coins. If you don't have that kind of money, complete Miri Fajta's quest to get a valuable necklace that you can sell.

After buying the paint and making the potions, go to Zheleev. In the cowshed, pour the potion into the trough, but do not do this at night. Then return to Tahov and rest in your bed until nightfall. At night, return to Zheleev and carefully sneak into the barn where the bull is. Paint whatever you want on it and return to Prochek in Tahov to complete the quest and receive 85 groschen.

Frogs Quest

To start the Frogs quest, go to Zheleev and talk to Olbram. If he does not have a quest, you can get it through the Mice quest. If you have completed the "Mice" quest, simply tell Olbram about Prochek's machinations. He will tell you about Prochek's request to paint the bull, and the "Mice" quest will fail, but you will be able to accept Olbram's quest. You need to steal the Maypole. To do this, return to Takhov and talk to the tavern owner about Genika and the Maypole. You can also talk to Manka, the owners' daughter, to find out about her feelings for Genika. After that, wait until night, when Genika is busy, and steal the pole.

Completing the quests

After you have completed both tasks, return to Olbram to turn in the quest and receive 45 groschen. If you have completed all the objectives, you will receive additional money. Olbram will give you a new task - to disperse a flock of sheep and ruin the laundry of the Takhovites.

Once all the tasks are completed, you will be able to proceed to the additional quest "War of Mice and Frogs", which can be received from Prochek or Olbram. If you want the conflict between Takhov and Zhelev to end, go to Troskovitsa and talk to Bailiff Drozd to find out the reasons for the quarrel. You will be able to help reconcile both sides, which will lead to receiving a reward - the skill book "Master's Research 1".
