Starting the quest "The Lion on the Coat of Arms"

You can start the side quest "The Lion on the Coat of Arms" immediately after the fifth story mission "Uninvited Guests at the Wedding" begins. As soon as you can freely move around the world, head to the scribe, who is located in the center of Troskovitz. Look for him by the purple icon with the image of a lion on the coat of arms.

Talk to the scribe about the location of the armor, and then listen to the legend about the Bruncvik armor. Try to pass one of the checks to maintain your reputation, and exhaust all dialogue options until the scribe offers you a riddle.

Search for Bruncvik's Armor

Before setting out to search for Bruncvik's Armor, it is recommended to acquire a horse and a shovel.

Riddle Solution and the First Piece of Armor

To find the first piece of Bruncvik's Armor, you need to solve the riddle offered by the scribe:

"Leave the old woman and the maiden after the gates, and at midnight go, impatient.

As soon as you pass between the stone towers, you will find a reward in the cold caves.

Further is the hall of the forest kings, who hide in the canopy from the eyes of people.

Two stone guards stand high, and here you will easily find your gift.

A deep niche, where shadows reign, there you will kneel before God.

If sharp rocks do not hinder you, there you will see the radiance of armor."

The old woman and the maiden in the riddle are the towers of Trosky Castle, and midnight points north.

The hall of the forest kings refers to the forest or hunting grounds that you need to pass by while moving northwest from the chapel.

The stone guards are the rocks among which a small chapel is hidden. This is the niche where you can kneel before God.

When you reach the end point, a new mark "Chapel in the Rocks" will appear on the map.

To avoid getting lost among the rocks, pay attention to the player's mark on the map. This is the place where you need to turn towards the rocks, guided by the fallen log.

Go through the bushes and move towards the next fallen tree, which will lead you to the chapel between the rocks.

Inside the chapel

Inside the chapel, you need to move the cross to the side and start digging under it (that's why you needed a shovel). Here you will find two treasure maps that will help you in your search for the following parts of Bruncvik's armor, as well as other items:

• Bruncvik's Dagger

• Bruncvik's Gloves

• Good Wine

• Bible Excerpts

• 17 Groschen

• 2 Candles

Searching for the armor at the two trees

To find the part of Bruncvik's armor at the two trees, open your inventory and carefully study the Bruncvik I treasure map, added to the section with books.

On the map, you will be able to see Trosky Castle, the chapel in the rocks and local roads with characteristic crossroads. The desired location is located next to two tall trees and a pack of wolves.

The map below shows the end point of your route: it is not far from the chapel in the rocks, just move southwest.

Turn off the road into the forest and find the wolf hunting ground. Be prepared to meet them. The bag with the loot is behind two tall trees, similar to those depicted on the treasure map.

Inside you will find another Bruncvik treasure map and several pieces of armor:

• Bruncvik's chainmail coif

• Bruncvik's plate greaves

• Bruncvik's blanket

• Leek, turnip and beetroot

Finding armor by the crosses on the rock

To find a piece of Bruncvik's armor by the crosses on the rock, open your inventory and carefully study the Bruncvik treasure map: Test of Faith.

The main landmarks here are Tachov and a noticeable pond, next to which there is a fast travel point "Vidlak Pond".

To get to the treasure, from the laundry area go northeast along the path, then turn into the forest. When you are close to the end point of the route, a new mark "Crosses in the rocks" will appear on the map.

Look for a cross standing on a low stone, to which a fallen log leads. In the chest you will find Bruncvik's treasure map for the trial of combat prowess and the following items:

• Bruncvik's plate bracers

• Life-saving schnapps

• Headband

Finding the armor under the decayed skeleton

To find part of Bruncvik's armor under the decayed skeleton, open your inventory and carefully study the Bruncvik III treasure map.

The desired location is not far from the previous one, as Tahov is again on the map. The noticeable pond and the local baths at the Zheleevsky inn will be useful.

From the pond, go northeast along the stream to a fallen tree, and then turn onto an inconspicuous path into the forest. The skeleton indicated on the map is under a tall tree on a hill overlooking the stream. Searching it and the bag nearby will give you the following items:

• Knight's Sword

• Bruncvik's Brigantine

• Good Wine

• Apple

Searching for armor in the stone mound

To find a piece of Bruncvik's armor in the stone mound, open your inventory and carefully study Bruncvik's treasure map for the trial of combat prowessand.

The main landmark here is the gypsy camp and two noticeable roads nearby. If you haven't come across the gypsy camp yet, it is located west of the herbalist Bozena's house. The right place is located about halfway between her meadow and the camp.

Look for the camp of treasure hunters, focusing on the map. Prepare to meet local bandits who will not be happy about your visit.

After you deal with them, search the camp and the pile of stones from which the stone cross sticks out to find under them:

• Bruncvik's Bascinet

• Shrinking Bone

• Worn Rosary

This completes the "Symbol of the Lion on the Coat of Arms" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but there is one more thing you should do.

How to craft Bruncvik's Poleaxe?

During the conversation with the scribe, you also received the Bruncvik Poleaxe blueprint. Open your inventory, look in the books section and study it to learn a new crafting recipe.

To create the Bruncvik pole axe, you will need the following ingredients:

• Fasteners - 1 piece

• Iron - 3 pieces

• Frankfurt steel - 1 piece

These ingredients can be found in various places. To buy all three at once, visit the blacksmith in Trosky Castle. After that, you can craft the axe yourself at any forge.
