In Vino Virilitas Quest: How to Answer Havel and Find the Secret Ingredient

In this interesting side quest, you will play the role of a real sommelier. We will tell you how to correctly answer Havel's questions and find the secret ingredient for Kašpar.

Starting the quest

In the western part of Kutna Hora, next to the fountain on Vinohrady Street, you will be able to meet Kašpar Rudolf, who will be marked on the map. Talk to him to start the quest.

Meeting with Adleta

Follow the marker to the southern outskirts of Kutna Hora, where you will meet Adleta. Her brother will not allow you to enter the gardens, so you will need to either convince him or win the duel. After he leaves, talk to Adleta and ask for help. She will ask you to fix her wreath, for which you need to collect 5 marigold flowers and give them to her.

Preparing for the meeting with Havel

Ask Kašpar for the book, study it and remember the words highlighted in red. Then head to the innkeeper Havel, who will also be marked on the map. Start a conversation and choose the correct phrases:

This is not a suitable gift.

If you said you were from Italy, choose the wine "Vinsanto".

If you mentioned Germany, point to "Steinberger".

If you said you came from France, choose "Avignon" as the best wine.

Finding the secret ingredient

If you answered correctly, return to Kašpar and he will send you to the monastery with the vine. Move along the marker, talk to the recruiter in the monastery and agree to work. This will start another side quest called "Under the Straw Hat".

If you came in the evening, the manager Jeronim will tell you that work starts in the morning, at 6:00. You don't have to complete the "Under the Straw Hat" quest, as you'll only get 10 groschen for doing a good job (dragging sacks). However, if you don't do the job, the quest will fail.

Access to the Vineyards

During the "Under the Straw Hat" quest, you'll be able to move around the vineyards freely. In the morning, go through the kitchen to the backyard and collect 5 grape saplings from the garden. Then enter the kitchen, go to the far side, to the cellar with barrels. Hack the door with medium difficulty to get to the second room with barrels. In the box at the far end, you'll find sulfur wicks - this is the secret ingredient.

Completing the quest

After completing the "Under the Straw Hat" quest or abandoning it, return to Kašpar and talk to him. If you brought him the secret ingredient and 5 saplings, you will receive 575 groschen and the skill book "Life in the Inn IV".
