AC Shadows Romances

In Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, players have the opportunity to control two main characters, between whom they can freely switch. The developers have provided each character with their own romantic lines, providing them with unique partners.

To start a romantic relationship, it is enough to select the appropriate dialogue options marked with a heart icon. Below is a list of possible lovers for Naoe and Yasuke, as well as details of their stories.

Possible love lines

The following romantic partners for the main characters have been confirmed so far:

• Katsuhime
• Lady Oichi

Gennojo (partner for Naoe)

Naoe has two love stories available, and both can be completed within a single save. The first possible partner is the charismatic wanderer Gennojo.

Their acquaintance begins with a duel in the mission "The Missing Message". Despite their combative start, their relationship takes on a romantic edge after eliminating the Jester in the Lost Honor quest. At this point, Gennojo teasingly hints at a possible relationship, to which Naoe can respond with the phrase, "Perhaps you're right."

The romance further develops with the Sake and Blades quest, where Naoe meets Gennojo at Ogura Pond. They join forces to help the starving villagers, who are being left with no supplies by the noble. As they complete quests, their feelings deepen. In the Stolen Hearts quest, Gennojo trains Naoe in the use of the Hidden Blade. However, his past, filled with loss and disappointment, prevents him from finding peace. By helping him overcome his inner demons, Naoe convinces him to join the Brotherhood.

Katsuhime (Naoe's partner)

Katsuhime, a master of teppo, begins to show interest in the Brotherhood after defeating the Naginata. Their relationship begins in the mission "Letter from Katsuhime", where Naoe meets a girl at her master's grave. Despite the gloomy surroundings, a light flirtation develops between them.

The plot progresses to the kidnapping of Katsuhime's mentor, and she seeks help. After a successful rescue, their relationship takes a new level in the quest "Jōnin's Pillow", where they spend a romantic evening on the banks of the Wakasa. Here, they open up to each other, with Katsuhime becoming Naoe's primary partner.

Lady Oichi (Yasuke's partner)

Lady Oichi, Oda Nobunaga's sister, first meets Yasuke in the memory "Education", where she notices his talent while training under sensei Kamiizumi Nobutsuna. If you choose "Society is not a bad thing", Oichi cryptically remarks that "a strong warrior is always surrounded by admirers".

Their next encounter occurs in the quest "A Conversation with the Lady", where despite the lack of romantic options, their mutual attraction becomes obvious even to Naoe.

In the mission "A Prayer for Omi", Yasuke accompanies Oichi to the Shirahige Shrine. While sailing, she asks him "What would you do if you knew your fortress would fall tomorrow?" The answer "I would spend my last night with you" makes her smile softly, but she regretfully admits that it is not meant to be.

It is later revealed that Oichi is related to one of the game's antagonists, the Weeper. Their story continues in the quest "The Wheel Turns", where they travel to Cat Island. Yasuke can either adopt an Akita or leave it to Oichi's daughters. This choice does not affect the plot, but emphasizes the nature of their relationship.

Over time, Oichi and Yasuke confess their feelings for each other, and one morning he wakes up surrounded by cats, clearly hinting at the events of the previous night.
