Best Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Builds

This is a build for killing most enemies in 1 turn, and most often in a one-shot. I will tell you what abilities and pictos we need in order to give out such damage:



General idea: Virtuoso Stance + Stendhal + buffs to damage from pictos and allies.

Abilities

The main necessary abilities for Mael

  • Stendhal is our main skill. The one with which we will one-shot enemies
  • Last Chance is our main way to go into a virtuoso stance and accumulate enough AP

Mael's abilities are worth mentioning



  • Ghost Strike is a good helper in clearing out light packs
  • Quick Step is one of the possible ways to go into a virtuoso stance, can be relevant in the early stages
  • Mezzo Forte is a way to keep the stance if there are not enough AP for the current move

Pictos

As with abilities, I will first list the most important pictos, and then the desirable ones

The main pictos for Mael:

  • Colorful Power. Necessary to deal damage greater than 9999. I do not specifically write where to look for it, you will definitely get it in the story - do not catch a spoiler.
  • With all your might. Synergizes perfectly with the Last Chance ability (which does 1 HP), give us another turn to carry out our one-shot attack
  • First Strike. Gives us the opportunity to make the first move, so that we don't have to worry about who will attack first
  • Sharper - allows you to go twice in a row. Despite the fact that similar guides write about this pictos as mandatory - it is not. The screenshot from the beginning of the guide for 40 million damage was made without this pictos. But of course it simplifies.


Desirable pictos

The following is a list of pictos mainly for increasing damage. Surely it is not complete, look for any pictos for damage.

  • Flawlessness damage increases by 30% before the first hit received
  • Invigorating Start I, II, III, IV - additional AP at the beginning of the battle.
  • On the threshold of death - +50% damage if health is below 10%.
  • Roulette - each hit can deal 50% or 200% of its damage with a 50% probability (for gambling lovers).
  • Distortion Bonds - At the beginning of the battle, casts a distortion on itself for 3 turns. Damage increases by 50% while the distortion is active.
  • Enhanced First Strike - the first hit deals +50% damage. Once per battle.

Weapon

The ideal weapon for this build is Medalum, since with it we start the battle already in a virtuoso position. You get this weapon according to the story in the Village of Zhestrals. The main thing is to choose Mael to participate in the Arena

Team

Here is the will of your imagination. You can use Lune, Gustav \ Verso, Ciel. Personally, I use Gustav \ Verso to put a mark on the enemy. And Ciel for her two abilities that are ideal for our build:

  • Fate's Fury - double damage to an ally for one turn
  • Intervention - gives an immediate extra turn to an ally and AP


Approximate order

The order greatly depends on the set of your pictos and the composition of the team.

  1. Put a mark on the enemy, for example, with the help of Gustav.
  2. Put double damage on Mael with the help of Ciel.
  3. If there is enough AP on the first turn - use Stendhal from a virtuoso stance (thanks to Medalum).
  4. Use Last Chance to replenish AP and get another turn.
  5. Use Stendhal again.
