How to get the quest "In the mountains"

To get the "in the mountains" quest, find Yu Xia at the adventurer's camp, which is located near the Dragon Ridge. Talk to her and find out about the strange ice. It needs to be explored.

Passage of the quest "In the mountains"

The quest can be divided into several parts, we will describe each stage of the passage in detail. We advise you to pay attention to the crimson agates that fall out of treasure chests.

Head to the Statue of the Seven. Open and activate the map of this location. The fast travel point will now be available. This point can be used to heal your heroes and use it for warmth to avoid cold damage.

Examine the cave nearby. There are people who can help. Visit the adventurer's camp and find Yu Xia. She will talk about the fragments that cause an icy wind. It is necessary to destroy them.

Exploring Strange Ice

It is necessary to walk along the Snowy Path in a certain order.

We leave for the location Snow-covered path . The path to the top is blocked by the air flow. Find and destroy the frozen fragment. Don't forget about red minerals or ore. Scarlet quartz drops out of it. The Crimson Quartz warming buff can destroy Ancient Frost.

Use Crimson Quartz to hit an ice shard (-25% health bar). After damaging the shard, the Scarlet Quartz will disappear. To resolve one such fragment, 4 Crimson Quartz warming buffs are required.

After the destruction of the fragment, the Tree of Permafrost will appear (in the form of a ball). Look for Crimson Agates.

Sleeping Dragon Gorge

We leave for the second location (see the map above). Pay attention to the guards of the ruins and the fairy above the monuments. She heads for the Cryo totems. Totems must be activated in a certain order.

After activating the pillars, be ready for an attack by two Guardians of the Ruins. Deal with them. Next up is a fight with the Ruin Thresher. This is a strong mob with Geo-Laser abilities.

After destroying the opponent, the ice will disappear and you will have access to the room. Examine it and take the second shard and three Scarlet Quartz deposits.

Use Crimson Quartz to deplete the shard's health bar. It remains to find one more quartz.

Pay attention to the fairy near the crystal. If you use a pyro skill on a snowy hill near the wall, a second one will appear.

The fairies will reach their places and the gate will open. Take the chests and Scarlet Quartz. Use it on the frozen shard.

Important! Move aside to the stone slab and interact with it. To activate it, you need to find 8 stone tablets ( read the detailed walkthrough of the Ancient Inscriptions quest ). After that, you will receive the two-handed sword Snowy Star Silver in the secret room inside another secret room ( we tell you how to open the door to the Secret room ).

There is a fork near Starlight Cave. The road to the top will lead you to the chests. You will also have to fight the Ruin Thresher and find a clearing with a secret door. The path down will take you to a frozen fragment.

Head down to the challenge marker. Notice the three pedestals. The first fairy is immediately visible

The second and third can be found behind the frozen fragment. Break the stones to see the fairies. Nearby is scarlet quartz.

The test is quite difficult. For a certain time, you will have to fight the Cryo hilichurls and shamachurls, as well as the cryo mages of the abyss. The battles will be one after another, so we recommend preparing food and raising the health bar. Also, pyro-characters will not be superfluous.

After you have defeated all the enemies, you can approach and destroy the ice crystal (frozen fragment).

Don't forget scarlet quartz. Two deposits are immediately visible near the ice crystal. Destroy a Frozen Fragment with a warming buff.

Path to the top of the mountain

Previously, near the statue of Anemo Archon, you could not climb because of the wind. Now the path is open.

Reach the top of the Dragon Ridge

Climbing to the top, pay attention to the destroyed column. It is necessary to melt the ice crystals.

Now again it is necessary to melt the ice fragments again:

• First snippet . It is located near the Ruin Hunter, where the first scarlet quartz deposit was discovered. Approach is not required. You can use an archer (charge the arrow with scarlet quartz). It is enough to melt the ice fragment at this location once. After the destruction of the fragment, a sphere will appear. Interact with her to unlock the seals.

• Second snippet . It is necessary to go along the path with a sloping upward. Lavachurl with a frost shell awaits you in the open space. Defeat an opponent and get Crimson Quartz.

You passed the lattice gate. Two blocks were located near the gate. Shoot them before you start shooting the middle shard. In one block there is a chest, and in the other block there is a lever with which you can open the gate, where there are several more chests. Use the warming buff to melt the fragment.

• Third fragment . To reach the desired point, use the anemo character and go to the platform. When you see the Anemo monument, you need to activate it using the air gate. So you get to the desired remote ledge. Get ready to take on a few Hilichurls. Pay attention to the Crimson Quartz deposit and use it to melt the ice nearby. Look into the gorge and use the archer on the third fragment.

After destroying all the fragments and activating all the spheres, a pillar will appear in the central part, which will be directed towards the sky. Congratulations, you have opened the entrance to the Vindagnir Peak dungeon. Jump down to enter the dungeon and open treasure chests.

Important!!!

Remember the fork leading up near the third Scarlet Quartz deposit (see screenshot above). Go up the path. You will reach a location with torches. Use the character's pyro skills to light them up. Next, use the Anemo skill and activate the totem. So you can take advantage of the wind flow.

It is necessary to fly through the rings and grab the pole. Head up to get the achievement.
