Guardians of the Galaxy fell short of publisher's expectations

Representatives of the company Sqaure Enix in a recent financial report indicated that the game Guardians of the Galaxy could not meet the expectations of the publisher. Despite the fact that the project received mostly good reviews, this did not help the game show good sales.

At the same time, the company understands that the situation with the game is fixable - thanks to discounts over the past year, sales have grown and reached the expected figures, covering the initial losses. In the future, Guardians of the Galaxy should become more profitable as the developers continue to improve their project.

The report also indicates that the majority of Square Enix's profits in the current financial period came from Final Fanasty XIV, which attracted the attention of the audience with the release of the major Endwalker expansion.
