Studio GSC Game World without explanation removed from Steam its new game STALKER 2 for the Russian region. The same applies to all other projects of the studio - Russian-speaking users will no longer be able to purchase them if they live in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The company did not officially announce the termination of sales and withdrawal from the Russian market, but, apparently, the announcement will take place in the near future. A number of gaming organizations have already acted in a similar way, reacting negatively to the conduct of a special operation by the Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine.
By the way, the developers themselves from GSC Game World on March 2 reported a temporary suspension of work on STALKER 2, since the company's physical office is located in Kyiv.
