Digital Foundry believes that the new Witcher should not be made on Unreal Engine 5

Digital Foundry journalist Richard Leadbetter was genuinely surprised when, after announcing the development of a new saga in the Witcher universe, the CD Projekt RED studio team announced that the game would be created on the Unreal Engine 5 engine. The Polish team has already debugged REDegine.

Recently, developers have been investing more resources in their technology, however, even with this, REDengine had to undergo an update before becoming the basis for a new game. If the Poles deliberately took such a step and do everything right, their synergy with Epic Games Studios will bring the work of Unreal Engine 5 to a whole new level.

About when we will be able to personally touch the new "The Witcher" has not yet been reported.
