Some enthusiasts noted that in the description of games in the Dark Souls series on Steam, the mention of the presence of a multiplayer mode was missing. Now the projects only have a single format, although initially the entire trilogy could boast of having a unique invasion mode, when players could break into each other's game sessions.

Over the past few months, the multiplayer features in Dark Souls have been disabled due to a critical bug that allowed third parties to gain access to users' files. Developers from the FromSoftware studio promised to fix the situation, however, judging by the results, they did not find any solution to the problem.

Elden Ring 's latest game also has a similar online mode, but there is no exploit.
