Dataminers found data in the files of the Elden Ring game, indicating that the developers cut out very interesting mechanics from the final build. It allowed you to learn more about the Interearth from the lips of the characters, immersed in a dream.
The essence of the mechanics was that the player had to steal some kind of "dream fog", which was then exchanged from a special NPC for a dream potion. Putting one of the characters (monsters, for example) to sleep with it, you could hear muttering and some unique details about the game world.
