Fortnite developers receive $2 billion in additional investment

The creation of a joint metaverse is expected.
Fortnite developers receive $2 billion in additional investment

Representatives of the Epic Games studio spoke about the receipt of new investments in the amount of $ 2 billion. The money in the company that created Fortnite was invested by the KIRKBI holding, which owns corporations such as Sony and The LEGO Group.

Epic Games and The LEGO Group are now expected to create a collaborative metaverse that brings together characters from both camps. The investment will not affect the development and support of current projects in any way; everything will also be managed by Tim Sweeney at Epic Games Studios.

By the way, this is the third time Sony has invested in the authors of the royal battle - in 2020 the company spent $ 250 million on the development of Epic Games, and a year later threw another 200 million.
