The creator of the very first full-fledged MMORPG called Ultima Online, Richard Garriott , spoke about working on a new game. It will also be a representative of this genre, but with one significant difference - it is planned to introduce NFT technologies into the project.
Neither the name nor the plot details about the game are known yet. We were told only that it will be a kind of isometric role-playing game in which anyone can buy a piece of land for real money. For them, apparently, it will be possible to sell it in the future, as well as what is built or grown on it.
According to Garriott and his development partner Todd Porter, NFT elements are needed in their game to regulate the economy. At the same time, the gameplay will not be built only around this technology - players will be able to enjoy other activities as well.
The release date of the novelty is not yet known.
There is little information, so the shooter could be based on the StarCraft, Warcraft universe, or a completely new IP.
