Deadline reports that SEGA's Streets of Rage beatmap series is being produced by Escape Artists. The franchise's copyright holders commissioned the film to a team that also works on film adaptations of games such as Life of Strange, It Takes Two, Disco Elysium, Ruiner and Sleeping Dogs.

It is noted that the screenwriter of the new project will be Derek Kolstad, who was noted for creating the history of the militants John Wick and Nobody. There is no exact release date for the Streets of Rage movie yet.
