Nightdive studio head Larry Cooperman has revealed that a remake of the cult game System Shock is almost ready. The team is currently working on polishing a significant part of the gameplay, which will soon be available as part of early beta testing.
Unlike the original game, the updated version will be a full-fledged first-person shooter with a more streamlined control scheme. Players will no longer need to drag the screen with the mouse, nor will they need to select objects by hovering over them. Footage from the demo can be seen below - the video will give you an idea of what the System Shock remake will look like at release.
