Dying Light 2 Chief Designer Timon Smektala spoke about Techland's plans to support the project in the future. In particular, during the first couple of years, the developers plan to release experimental content, which is aimed at testing the reaction of the fan community to new items.
In 2023, the studio will release some fresh content aimed at co-op. The authors also plan to release more new locations, expanding the open world with previously unexplored areas.
In general, Dying Light 2 plans to support at least 5 years, while the project will also include new factions, possibly vehicles, as well as activities that were cut from the release version.
