Bethesda studio head Todd Howard has shared details about a new project called Starfield . In particular, Mr. Director said that the game world was created using a procedural generation system, which was then finalized manually by specialists.
The developers tested their algorithm during the creation of the Skyrim world - even then the AI generated the terrain quite well and arranged the trees. Starfield will have over a thousand planets to land on, and this volume of worlds would not be possible without the involvement of an automatic system.
However, Howard added a fly in the ointment to fans waiting for the release of Starfield. We were informed that the main character of the game will not receive voice acting. We will communicate with the NPC through printed dialogues, while our interlocutors, of course, will acquire a voice.
It will be possible to evaluate Starfield in 2023.
