Sucker Punch has gone on record saying that it has "no plans to return to its Infamous or Sly Cooper franchises."
In a blog celebrating the studio's 25th anniversary, the team emphasized that while they are all "proud of the legacy of the characters and stories they've created," the developers are currently focused "on [their] current project."
On their blog, they stated the following:
As Sucker Punch's 25th anniversary approaches, we proudly look back on the legacy of characters and stories created, from Rocket: Robot on Wheels to Sly Cooper, InFamous and the recently released Ghost of Tsushima .
As our games continue to grow in scale and complexity, they require absolute focus on the part of our studio. Since we are involved with an ongoing project, we have no plans to return to InFamous or Sly Cooper at this time. And no other third-party studio is currently working on projects related to these franchises. These special, close and dear characters to our hearts…
