Uncharted 4: A Thief's End wanted to recreate the famous story from "James Bond"

The Madagascar jeep chase in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End could have been diluted with a stunt that gained fame in the sixth movie (for) Sean Connery as James Bond. Why not? Drake looks cool in a tuxedo!

The stunt in question is from the 1971 film Diamonds Are Forever, in which Sean Connery, as Bond, lifts his car on two wheels to drive through a narrow gap. In principle, this trick has been used more than once in other films.

Uncharted 4 lead designer Kurt Margenau told Couch Soup:

To be honest, we even had a prototype of this scene [during the jeep chase at A Thief's End].

However, those who played the fourth part know that this idea, in the end, did not make it into the final build.

But that's not all.

Turns out James Bond wasn't the only inspiration for Naughty Dog's epic chase scene. Nathan Drake's crazy driving was also inspired by the Bad Boys movie chases.

[The team thought] how can we get on the roof or even fall through it. [We] looked at all the craziest movie chases.
