The Last of Us Part 1 finally achieved gold status. Fans of the popular franchise will have to wait until its scheduled release on PS5 on September 2, 2022. The game's developer, Naughty Dog, is currently working on a PC version as well, but the release window for that platform is still unknown.
In their Twitter, the developers wrote the following:
We are happy to announce that The Last of Us Part 1 has gone gold! Congratulations to Dogs and our PlayStation partners for pouring their passion and talent into the evolving world of TLOU.
The developer has released several trailers, but still hasn't shown actual gameplay footage. The current state of the game remains largely unknown.
