According to Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier, Ubisoft plans to release the next Assassin's Creed in the spring and summer of 2023. At the moment, the role-playing action is codenamed Rift.

Initially, the developers planned to make an addition to Assassin's Creed Valhalla, but then Ubisoft decided to create a full-fledged next part of the game. However, its production takes more time.

The action of the next part of the stealth action Rift takes place in the 9th century on the territory of Baghdad.
