The court satisfied the claim of the cinema from Irkutsk against Universal due to the cancellation of the screening of "Batman"

Recall that "Batman" was supposed to appear on the screens of Russian cinemas on March 2 this year. However, due to the departure of Universal from the Russian market, the rental was canceled the day before the release of the picture. The management had to return all the money for pre-ordered tickets.

On May 25, New Cinema offered to look into the pre-trial procedure, but Universal did not consider the claim. After that, a lawsuit was filed.

The Moscow Arbitration Court satisfied the claim of the Irkutsk cinema New Cinema against the Universal film studio. The company must pay 2.9 million rubles, which New Cinema was supposed to receive for rental.
