Finnish ground and air vehicles will appear in War Thunder

It will add Finnish ground and air vehicles to the game, as well as a new map inspired by this Scandinavian country. The lines of other countries will also be replenished with new models of tanks, ships, aircraft and helicopters, including those with a new type of weapon for War Thunder.

The Finnish Armed Forces have rich experience in participating in conflicts - the Winter War, World War II, NATO joint peacekeeping missions. The country mainly used imported equipment from various manufacturers (including trophy specimens), adapting it for its own needs. For example, the British Vickers Mk.E light tanks did not find distribution in their homeland, but were used by foreign operators, including Finland. Another unique example is BT-42. This is a strange but very interesting conversion of captured Soviet BT-7s into an assault gun with a British 4.5-inch howitzer and a turret of our own design. After the war, Finland purchased equipment from both the USSR and the Western Bloc, so that a user playing as Finland can go into battle with both the British Vampire FB 52A fighter and the Soviet T-72M (export version of the T-72A, first introduced in the game) .

The Finnish ground and air branches will be located inside the Swedish research tree (similar to how the South African vehicle branch is included in the UK tree), which will significantly expand the tactical options for players who are already researching or planning to research the Sweden branch and who want to experiment with the vehicle setup.
