PlayStation 6 will be released no earlier than 2027

A Sony document that was sent to the UK antitrust regulator mentioned that the new console would arrive after 2027.

The document outlines Sony's position on the Microsoft deal that bought Activision Blizzard. The company believes that Microsoft intends to take the lead in the market and make Sony "the new Nintendo."

According to Microsoft, Nintendo's differentiated model shows that the PlayStation doesn't need the Call of Duty series to compete effectively in the marketplace. However, this reveals Microsoft's true strategy. She wants the PlayStation to become like Nintendo, to become a less powerful and effective competitor to the Xbox.

Sony is worried that after the transition of Activision to the IT giant, the famous console shooters will go: Call of Duty , Halo , Gears of War , Doom and Overwatch .
