Microsoft plans to raise the price tag on its games to $70

True, so far only for nextgen.
Microsoft plans to raise the price tag on its games to $70

Microsoft has announced that the price tag for games for Xbox Series consoles will increase in the future. The new threshold is 70 US dollars, which is how much platform fans will have to pay to use all its features.

The brand's pricing policy will change as early as 2023, and the first titles sold at the new price will be blockbusters such as Starfield, Redfall and Forza Motorsport. It is not yet completely clear whether this price tag will be kept on games permanently or whether the increase will be set within a certain period after the release of the novelty.

A similar policy has already been adopted by Sony, Ubisoft, Take-Two and other major publishers. In the future, it is likely that subscription services will also become more expensive.
