Recently, a trailer appeared on the network, in which the game publisher added reviews from several portals to the fantasy action game Forspoken . "Great," wrote Distractify, "impressive," Game Informer reported, "cute," praised the PlayStation LifeStyle. Blogger Derek Lew checked the real reviews, and as it turned out, he did it for a reason. Square Enix took the phrases out of context, literally bombarding their own game with positive reviews (or rather compliments).
Here's what gaming publications actually wrote:
Distractify : "the game has the potential to be a great game." The phrase was pulled out of the preview.
Game Informer : "Frey's impressive ability to move allows her to move quickly both in and out of combat." The phrase was pulled out of the news about the gameplay trailer.
PlayStation LifeStyle: "Frey isn't exactly a noble warrior at first, and it's incredibly endearing as you watch her cold façade fade away." Note that the reviewer is praising the hero, but not the game.
Forspoken tells the story of Frey, a New York girl who finds herself in a fantasy world full of mysterious dangers. Using magic, she fights monsters and tries to return to her world.
