Neil Druckmann spoke about the spin-off The Last of Us: Factions and a full-fledged continuation of the series

Studio head Naughty Dog Neil Druckmann shared new details about the upcoming project called The Last of Us: Factions. This game will be a spin-off of the original duology, in which new stories await players.

According to the game designer, the developers will not reuse the stories of Joel and Ellie, but will introduce us to new characters. At the same time, events will unfold in the world we already know, and therefore the network project will still have similarities with the original.

Among other things, Mr. Druckmann is very willing to make The Last of Us 3, but so far the final decision on this issue has not been made. First, the team needs to come up with a “unique love story”, as it was in the first two parts, and then think about its practical implementation.

The Last of Us: Factions is expected to release in the first half of this year.
