The creators of Amnesia: The Bunker are developing a game in the spirit of SOMA

At the moment, the developers of Frictional Games are developing the fourth game of the cult horror franchise Amnesia. The game is called Amnesia: The Bunker. Judging by the name, the game is quite gloomy, well, and confusing, which is typical for Amnesia. Players are waiting for new horrors and surprises.

Also, the developers of Frictional Games shared the news that they are currently working on another project. This is not a continuation of SOMA, but in its spirit.

“We remain very interested in doing more SOMA stuff. He [Frictional Games co-founder Thomas Grip] is still working on a big project that is, you could say, a lot more philosophical stuff like SOMA."

The company recently posted a job ad for a narrative designer position. Most likely the game will be a mixture of "sci-fi and horror", like SOMA. Olsson also shared about the future plans of the company.

“As for the future, if there is, then maybe we will be more focused on gameplay, but this does not mean that we will not make cool, thought-provoking and philosophical stories, because they can exist together. You don't have to be a walking simulator to have an intriguing storyline."

Amnesia: The Bunker will release on May 15, 2023.
