The Sun, citing anonymous but verified sources, claims that Warner Bros has begun filming a new film, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. To date, the Harry Potter franchise has grossed over £6.4 billion worldwide. Apparently, the bosses of Warner Brothers Studios were going to cash in on the magical world again. And this cannot but rejoice!
The Sun insiders said that the top executives of the company launched the development of the film "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", which we have been hearing about since the summer of 2016. Probably, we are even talking about the formation of a new franchise.
The source stated:
Warner Bros is currently working on bringing The Cursed Child to the big screen. They've been thinking about it ever since the play came out in the West End. They sidelined production for a while as there was too much work on the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Now this franchise is being relegated to the background due to poor performance, so all the efforts are directed to the development of the Cursed Child. Everyone involved in the film wants Daniel (Radcliffe) to return, but first we need to agree on a plan for the number of films, rework the script and budget.
