The developers of Dune: Awakening talked about the survival system implemented in the game. According to the Funcom team, they tried to make sure that the elements of survival set a certain task for the players, but were not too stressful and did not scare away the main audience.
For example, the heroes have to collect spice, which will give the character certain abilities. Without it, the character will not die, but it will become more difficult to explore Arrakis. Thanks to research, it will be possible to discover many useful items, but you will have to be wary of sandstorms and underground worms that react to the movement of players.
As for the crafting system, the developers promised not to create long technology branches, but at the same time, players will be able to create powerful guns and uniforms, which can then be sold on the exchange.
Unfortunately, Dune: Awakening doesn't even have a tentative release date yet.
