Based on new job openings posted by Respawn Entertainment, the yet-to-be-announced Star Wars shooter was inspired by classic games like Dark Forces 1 and 2 .
In January 2022, Respawn Entertainment announced that it was developing three new games in the Star Wars universe at once. One of them is a single-player first-person shooter.
In 2019, the studio successfully released Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and showed that it is capable of developing high-quality and big-budget single-player titles. The game is being created on Unreal Engine 5. Recall that the sequel to Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, will be released this April .
The success of the title is quite expected.
