Electronic Arts closed its legal entity in Russia and Belarus

The brand does not plan to return to the market.
Electronic Arts closed its legal entity in Russia and Belarus

The Electronic Arts company finally severed its connection with the Russian and Belarusian gaming markets by closing the legal entity Electronic Arts LLC, which oversaw activities in these countries. The subsidiary has been operating since 2007, but that, apparently, is all.

Recall that EA and the BF refused to officially sell their games in the Russian Federation in March 2022 after the start of the special operation. The company did not deliver projects to the market and closed their sale in the ru-segments of digital stores, and also refused to work on Russian localization. Some suggested that over time the situation could change for the better, but apparently not fate.

Note that other publishers may follow the example of EA if the world situation does not improve soon.
