The creators of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power accused of plagiarism

Someone named Demetrius Polychron accused Amazon of stealing the script for one of his works and using it to create The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series. We are talking about the novel The Fellowship of the King, which the author created under the influence of Tolkien's works.

Polychron himself tried to contact the professor's grandson and get feedback from him about his book, but he never received an answer. However, then the book fell into the hands of representatives of the film company, who, according to the author, copied at least half of the characters and storylines from his book.

Demetrius is suing Amazon and their Tolkient Estate partners for $250 million in damages.
