The Battlefield 2042 Beta on PlayStation does not require PlayStation Plus. Xbox players will need Xbox Live Gold.
A quick look at the FAQ page on the game's beta site confirms this fact. It says the beta will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, but those using an Xbox console will need to purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription. The answer also added the fact that PlayStation does not require a PS Plus subscription.
We only learned about the beta testing date yesterday: the open test will take place from October 8 to 9. Battlefield 2042 is scheduled to release on November 19, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X, and PC.

The samurai action game couldn't beat out only Helldivers 2 and God of War.
So far, both games are in the early stages of development.
The success of the title is quite expected.
