Insider Tez2 reports that Rockstar Games may end active support for GTA Online on past generation consoles this year. According to the author of the material, developers can take such a step because of the increasing sales of PS5 consoles.
The insider reports that the studio is already creating part of the new content only for the current generation consoles, and this trend will continue in the future. So far, there has been no official news about the complete rejection of the development of GTA Online on PS4 and Xbox One from the company's camp, but there are prerequisites for this.
Recall also that now RG is in full swing preparing for the release of GTA 6 , which is still unknown.
